That means every session covers all the major muscle groups rather than splitting things up across the week and hoping you make every session.
You get a complete, effective workout whether you train twice or three times that week.
Sessions are structured around paired exercises. While one muscle group is recovering, another is working. No time is wasted. You get an enormous amount done in 45 minutes because the session is designed that way from start to finish.
Every client has their own barbell, their own bench, and access to a full range of dumbbells from 2kg up to 45kg – with multiple pairs of each weight.
Throughout the session, Jake loads the plates onto your barbell, brings the dumbbells you need to your bench, and clears everything away when you’re done.
You walk in, you train, you leave. That’s it. Nothing to set up, nothing to hunt for, nothing to put back. Your only job is to focus on the work.
One of the most common reasons people lose momentum in a commercial gym is that the session falls apart before it even starts – waiting for equipment, figuring out what to use next, wasting the first ten minutes getting organised.
None of that happens here.
There is a new training programme each month.
Within that month, each session follows the same structure on the same day.
The reason for this is progressive overload. Every exercise is tracked – the weight used and the reps completed. You know exactly what you did last week, and you know exactly what you’re trying to beat this week.
That might mean a small increase in weight, or it might mean the same weight with one or two extra reps. Either way, there is a clear, measurable target every single time you walk through the door.
You are training with intent, not just going through the motions.
Every exercise in the programme has progressions and regressions built in.
The goal for everyone in the room is the same – the work should feel genuinely challenging, but never daunting or unenjoyable.
Hard enough to make progress. Manageable enough that you want to come back.
Jake is in every session, with every client, every time. With a maximum of four people in the group, he can see exactly how each person is moving, what weight they should be on, and when it’s the right time to push and when it’s the right time to consolidate.
That level of attention is what makes the progress consistent rather than sporadic.
Over time, Jake builds a genuine understanding of how each client trains – their strengths, their tendencies, the exercises they find difficult, the days they need pushing harder and the days they need a slightly different approach.
That knowledge compounds. The longer you train with Jake, the more precisely the sessions are calibrated to you.
